Terms of use
Sample text - the final version is to be approved by the Client. The text is based on the planned functionality of the platform and must be reviewed by a lawyer before publication.
1. General provisions
These terms apply to the EXIT RĪGA website exitriga.lv, the mobile app and its web version (hereinafter - the platform). The platform is operated by:
Association “Pierīgas tūrisma asociācija”
Registration No. 40008303991
Andreja iela 1a, Baldone, Ķekava Municipality, LV-2125
Phone +371 26 191 044, email info@exitriga.lv
By using the platform, you agree to these terms. The processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy.
2. User account
- Places, routes and events can be viewed without an account. An account is needed for favourites, buying quests and saving progress.
- You can create an account with your email or sign in with Google, Apple ID or Facebook. One account works on both the website and the app.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for actions taken in your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in your account settings. We may block an account if it is used in breach of these terms.
3. Favourites and routes
Places saved in your favourites and the routes you create are visible only to you until you share them. Route suggestions are for information only: before setting off, check the road, the weather and the opening hours of the places.
4. Buying and paying for quests
- Prices are in euros and include all taxes. Payment is made with Stripe: cards (Visa, Mastercard), Google Pay or Apple Pay.
- After payment the quest is immediately available in your account on both the website and the app, and we send a confirmation by email.
- A quest is digital content. The right of withdrawal (14 days) can be exercised as long as the quest has not been started; by starting the quest you agree to its immediate performance and lose the right of withdrawal.
- If a quest cannot be played through our fault (for example, a closed route), we refund the full amount. Send your request to info@exitriga.lv.
- Services of service providers purchased together with a quest are a contract with the respective provider and are subject to their terms.
5. Playing a quest and safety
- Checkpoints are confirmed by location, QR code or a control question. Progress is saved even without internet and syncs when the connection is restored.
- During a quest, follow the traffic rules, do not cross private property boundaries and do not use your phone while driving.
- Children play quests under adult supervision.
- You take part in a quest at your own risk and assess your own abilities and the weather yourself.
6. Leaderboard
Only the nickname you choose and your result are shown on the leaderboard. Nicknames that are offensive or impersonate another person will be changed or deleted.
7. Reviews and user content
Reviews, suggestions and photos must be truthful and created by you. Offensive, misleading or advertising content is prohibited. By submitting content, you allow it to be shown on the platform free of charge. We may decline to publish or delete content if it breaches these terms.
8. AI assistant
The AI assistant’s answers are generated automatically from information provided by service providers and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Check important information - prices, opening hours, availability - on the service page or with the provider.
9. Information about places and services
Information about places, events and services is provided by the service providers and municipalities themselves. We check it regularly but cannot guarantee that it is always complete and up to date. Please report any inaccuracies.
10. Intellectual property
The platform design, the EXIT RĪGA brand, texts, map layers and photos belong to the association or are used with the authors’ permission. Content may not be copied for commercial purposes without permission.
11. Liability
We work to keep the platform available without interruption, but we are not liable for temporary interruptions related to maintenance or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for losses arising from failure to follow these terms or safety instructions.
12. Changes, applicable law and disputes
We will inform you of significant changes to the terms on the platform and by email. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia.
We first try to resolve disputes through negotiation - write to info@exitriga.lv. If no agreement is reached, you can turn to the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (ptac.gov.lv) or the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
